Interviewed for KRDO News 13’s Series, “Home Sweet Expensive Home”

I was excited to be interviewed by KRDO News 13 for their story on our HOT housing market here in Colorado Springs. If you watch the series you’ll see pretty quickly how crazy this market is. Here are some take-aways:

Buyers & Sellers must be educated on our current real estate market conditions so they can successfully navigate these challenging waters!
To get the home they want, buyers must have their finances in order, get pre-approved with local lender, have their down payment & loan closing costs ready to go which will allow them to act quickly and make the strongest possible offer on a home. My friend Bev Creswell is a skilled local mortgage lender who has a ton of experience, and is really, really good at financing buyers.
To get top dollar, Sellers should have their home in top condition & make their home available for multiple showings. Multiple showings these days (i.e. a lot of work keeping a house clean, and being flexible with showing schedules) usually result in multiple offers. We want this!
And everyone can benefit by working an experienced agent who markets their home effectively to get the most exposure for multiple offers, or who knows how to negotiate for a buyer properly.
